Content Rights & Attribution
At PantryPages, we believe in respecting the rights of content creators while helping you organize your recipe collection. This page explains how we handle third-party content and our commitment to proper attribution.
How Content Processing Works
PantryPages processes recipe content from websites you choose to share. Here's what happens when you add a recipe:
The Process:
- You provide a URL: You share a recipe URL from a website you have permission to access
- We download content: The app downloads the recipe content from that specific URL
- AI processing: Content is sent to OpenAI for standardization and formatting
- Local storage: Processed recipe is stored locally on your device only
- Attribution preserved: Original source URL and attribution are maintained
Source Attribution
We believe in giving credit where credit is due. Every processed recipe maintains:
Original Source URL
The original recipe URL is preserved and displayed, allowing you to visit the source website.
Website Attribution
When available, we display the name of the original website or creator.
Creator Information
Author names and creator details are preserved when provided by the source.
Direct Links
Easy access to the original content through preserved links.
Content Transformation
Our AI processing improves recipe formatting while preserving the original content:
What We Transform:
- Formatting: Standardize layout and presentation for better readability
- Measurements: Convert between metric and imperial units as needed
- Organization: Structure ingredients and instructions clearly
- Consistency: Apply uniform formatting across different source formats
What We Preserve:
- Original content: All recipe ingredients, instructions, and details
- Source attribution: Links and creator information
- Images: Recipe photos from the original source
- Essence: The character and style of the original recipe
Personal Use Only
