Voluntary Content Sharing and Processing
BY PROVIDING A RECIPE URL, YOU VOLUNTARILY CHOOSE TO SHARE CONTENT WITH PANTRYPAGES. When you provide a recipe URL, our app downloads and processes the content from that website to create a standardized, organized recipe format. This processing is initiated entirely by your voluntary action.

- PantryPages makes no claims of ownership over any recipe content
- All intellectual property rights remain with the original content creators
AI Processing and Accuracy Limitations
BY USING PANTRYPAGES, YOU VOLUNTARILY CONSENT TO AI PROCESSING OF YOUR SHARED CONTENT. To attempt to standardize and improve recipe formatting, we send recipe content that you voluntarily provide to OpenAI's servers for AI-powered processing. This processing attempts to:
- Extract structured recipe data (accuracy not guaranteed)
- Standardize ingredient measurements and units (may introduce errors)
- Organize instructions in a readable format (completeness not guaranteed)
- Improve recipe presentation (results may vary)
CRITICAL DISCLAIMER: AI processing is inherently imperfect and may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading results. OpenAI processes this data according to their privacy policy. We do not share your personal information with OpenAI beyond the recipe content you voluntarily choose to process.
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT: You are voluntarily sharing content for AI processing, understanding that such processing may alter, misinterpret, or corrupt the original information. You use AI-processed results entirely at your own risk.
Image Handling
Recipe images from third-party websites are downloaded and displayed within the app for your convenience. These images are cached locally on your device and are not shared with other users or third parties.
Data Retention and Storage
Processed recipe data is stored locally on your device only. We do not permanently store your processed recipes on our servers. However, recipe content may temporarily pass through our servers and third-party services (including OpenAI) during processing. The processed data remains on your device until you choose to delete it or uninstall the app.
DATA LOSS DISCLAIMER: PantryPages makes no guarantees regarding data preservation, backup, or recovery. You are solely responsible for backing up any important recipe data. Data may be lost due to device issues, software updates, or other factors beyond our control.
